Shaughnessy Elementary School has Canuck Place Spirit

Every year for the past 5 years, the students and staff of Shaughnessy Elementary have held a Canuck Week fundraiser in support of Canuck Place. 

Through the mentorship of teacher Carol Church, her class develops and organizes this event and their excitement engages the entire school in a week of activities. 

Students are encouraged to wear their Canucks’ branded clothing. 
Table stations are set up where, for a fee, others could purchase anything from a manicure to popcorn. 
This year's Canuck Week featured a bakesale, raffle, Balloon pop, shoot out, candy guess, fishing, daily trivia questions, a Garage Sale and class prizes at the end of the week.
The whole school was very supportive and fully involved in the spirit of the week.

This year, the school raised an all time high of $5,400! -- bringing their five year total to over $16,000! 

We are grateful for the energy and generosity exhibited by the students and staff as we would not be able to provide for our children and families without the unbelievable support of the community.
