Rob and Jean’s son Stephen passed away at Canuck Place over 12 years ago. He was only the third child to pass away at the Hospice and received end-of-life care by our clinical staff for just under a week. For the following year, the family continued to use our services through bereavement and counseling support.

What is particularly inspiring about their story is the family’s desire to support Canuck Place for the past nine years through a fundraising initiative held by their nursery, Panam Nursery. Each year, they donate partial proceeds of their white roses to Canuck Place with current donations totaling over $33,000.
